Bob Grannis

Photographer  (1939-1997)

 

Bob Grannis began photographing while he was in the Army in 1939. When he returned home to Nashville, Tennessee, camera in hand,  he began to chronicle Nashville life and continued well into his seventies.  His photographs include The Grand Ole Opry, weddings, sports, and the Nashville cityscape touching the hearts of many Nashville natives and beyond. A stout man, Grannis was light on his feet, a fantastic dancer, and well-known as "Nashville's Largest Photographer."

Leila Grossman

Owner/Archivist  (1997-present)

After Grannis retired in 1997, Leila Grossman acquired 

Grannis Photography along with Mr. Grannis' vast archive of vintage Nashville images. For almost three decades, she has preserved his legacy by continuing to photograph the Nashville community while scanning and archiving the historic collection.
